Description

Molecular Sieves CAS NO 12173-28-3 are highly porous, crystalline aluminosilicates engineered for selective adsorption based on molecular size and polarity. Their exceptional capacity for drying gases and liquids makes them a cornerstone technology for achieving ultra-low moisture levels in industrial processes. These desiccants are critical for manufacturers and processors in the petrochemical, natural gas, pharmaceutical, and electronics industries who require reliable and efficient purification and separation.

Application

  • Gas & Liquid Drying: Deep dehydration of natural gas, cracked gas, synthesis gas (syngas), and liquid hydrocarbons like LPG and solvents.
  • Air Separation: Pre-purification of air (removal of H2O and CO2) prior to cryogenic distillation in nitrogen and oxygen production plants.
  • Refining & Petrochemicals: Purification of feedstocks, drying of refinery gases, and separation of normal paraffins from iso-paraffins and aromatics.
  • Insulated Glass (IGU): Maintaining clarity and preventing condensation in double- and triple-pane windows by adsorbing residual moisture and volatile organics from the air space.
  • Chemical Manufacturing: Protecting catalysts and ensuring reaction efficiency by removing water from reaction streams and raw materials.
  • Refrigerant Drying: Essential in refrigeration and air conditioning systems to prevent ice formation and acid corrosion.
  • Static & Dynamic Packaging: Used in desiccant packets and canisters to control humidity and protect sensitive goods during storage and transport.
  • Environmental & Analytical: Drying carrier gases for instrumentation (GC, HPLC) and capturing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in emission control systems.

Quality Control

Our Molecular Sieves are manufactured under a stringent quality management system. Each batch is tested for critical performance parameters including adsorption capacity, crush strength, bead size distribution, and bulk density to ensure consistency and reliability. Certificates of Analysis (COA) detailing these specifications are available for every shipment. Our production facilities and processes are designed to meet the rigorous demands of global industries.

Storage

Preserve in a tightly closed container, protected from light. Due to its hygroscopic nature, the product must be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use to prevent premature adsorption of atmospheric moisture, which can reduce its effective capacity. Store away from incompatible materials. Standard ambient temperatures (15-25°C) are suitable.
