Description

Molecular Sieves CAS NO 1327-39-5 are highly porous, crystalline aluminosilicates engineered for selective adsorption based on molecular size and polarity. Their exceptional capacity for drying gases and liquids makes them a critical component in industrial processes where precise moisture control is paramount. These desiccants are essential for industries ranging from petrochemical refining and natural gas processing to pharmaceutical manufacturing and insulated glass production.

Application

  • Gas Drying & Purification: Deep dehydration of natural gas, cracked gas, synthesis gas (syngas), and air prior to cryogenic separation.
  • Liquid Drying: Removal of trace water from organic solvents, ethanol, refrigerants, and liquid hydrocarbons to prevent corrosion and side reactions.
  • Insulated Glass (IGU) Manufacturing: Adsorption of residual moisture and organic vapors within the airspace to prevent fogging and maintain thermal insulation.
  • Refrigerant Drying: Protecting air conditioning and refrigeration systems by removing moisture from refrigerants like R-134a and R-410A.
  • Petrochemical Processes: Separation of normal paraffins from iso-paraffins and other hydrocarbons, and purification of feedstocks.
  • Static Dehumidification: Protection of sensitive electronic components, pharmaceuticals, and archival materials within sealed packaging or enclosures.
  • Catalyst Support & Carrier: Used as a support material for various catalysts due to their high surface area and uniform pore structure.

Quality Control

Our Molecular Sieves are manufactured under a stringent quality management system. Each batch is tested for critical parameters including adsorption capacity, crush strength, bead size distribution, and bulk density to ensure consistent performance. Certificates of Analysis (COA) documenting these specifications are available for every shipment. Our production facilities and quality protocols are designed to meet the demands of global industrial and specialty gas markets.

Storage

Preserve in a tightly closed container, protected from light. Due to its hygroscopic nature, the product must be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use to prevent premature adsorption of atmospheric moisture, which reduces effective capacity. Store away from strong acids and oxidizing agents. Standard storage temperature is 15-25°C.
