Description
Fuel Gases, Water Gas is a versatile industrial fuel gas mixture primarily composed of carbon monoxide and hydrogen, produced by passing steam over hot coke. This product is critical for providing high-temperature process heat and serving as a key chemical feedstock in energy-intensive manufacturing. It is essential for industries requiring efficient, on-demand combustion or synthesis gas for chemical production, such as metal processing, glass manufacturing, and chemical synthesis.
Application
- Industrial Heating & Metal Processing: Used as a fuel for furnaces, kilns, and forges in steel, iron, and non-ferrous metal production due to its high calorific value and clean combustion.
- Chemical Synthesis Feedstock: Serves as a primary source of hydrogen and carbon monoxide for the production of methanol, ammonia, and synthetic hydrocarbons via processes like Fischer-Tropsch.
- Glass & Ceramics Manufacturing: Provides precise, high-temperature flame control for melting and forming glass and ceramic products.
- Fuel for Gas Engines: Can be utilized in modified internal combustion engines or turbines for on-site power generation in industrial plants.
- Reducing Agent: Employed in metallurgical applications to reduce metal oxides to their pure metallic forms.
- Calibration & Laboratory Use: Used as a calibration gas mixture or reaction medium in research and development laboratories.

Quality Control
Our Fuel Gases, Water Gas is produced and analyzed under strict quality protocols to ensure consistent composition and performance for industrial applications. We provide detailed Certificates of Analysis (COA) for each batch, specifying key parameters such as the ratio of carbon monoxide to hydrogen, total calorific value, and impurity levels (e.g., sulfur compounds, carbon dioxide). Our quality management system adheres to relevant industrial safety and purity standards to guarantee supply reliability and process compatibility.
Storage
Preserve in a tightly closed container, protected from light. This product is highly volatile and gaseous. Cylinders must be stored upright in a well-ventilated, cool, dry area away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and oxidizing materials. Storage temperature should not exceed 50°C (122°F). Ensure area is free from ignition sources and posted with appropriate hazard signage. Keep container valve closed when not in use.
