Description
Ozone (O3) is a powerful, naturally occurring allotrope of oxygen, recognized globally by the CAS registry number 10028-15-6. This highly reactive gas is a cornerstone technology for advanced oxidation processes, offering an unmatched combination of potent disinfection and selective chemical oxidation. It is an essential reagent and processing agent for industries requiring high-purity water, effective sterilization, and controlled chemical synthesis. Key sectors that rely on its unique properties include water and wastewater treatment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and specialty chemical production.
Application
- Water & Wastewater Treatment: Primary application for disinfection, taste/odor control, color removal, and micro-pollutant degradation in municipal drinking water, industrial process water, and swimming pools.
- Industrial Process Water: Used in the electronics and pharmaceutical industries to produce ultra-pure water (UPW) by oxidizing organic contaminants and for biofouling control in cooling towers.
- Food & Beverage Processing: Applied for surface sanitation, equipment sterilization, and cold storage atmosphere treatment to extend shelf life without chemical residues.
- Pulp & Paper Bleaching: An environmentally friendly alternative to chlorine-based bleaching agents for delignification and brightening of pulp.
- Pharmaceutical Synthesis: Utilized as a selective oxidizing agent in the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and fine chemicals.
- Air Purification & Odor Control: Effective in HVAC systems and industrial settings for destroying volatile organic compounds (VOCs), bacteria, and unpleasant odors.
- Aquaculture & Agriculture: Employed for water disinfection in fish farming and for soil remediation and pest control in certain agricultural applications.

Quality Control
Our ozone is produced and handled under stringent quality protocols to ensure consistent purity and performance for industrial and specialty applications. While ozone is typically generated on-site, we guarantee the performance and output specifications of our generation systems and associated gas supplies. Certificates of Analysis (COA) for feed gases (typically oxygen or dry air) and system performance validation data are available upon request, supporting compliance with relevant industry standards.
Storage
Ozone is an unstable, highly reactive gas that cannot be stored in conventional cylinders for extended periods due to its rapid decomposition. It is generated on-demand from oxygen or dry air feed gas using corona discharge or UV light systems. The feed gas (oxygen or dry air) should be stored in approved, properly secured gas cylinders in a well-ventilated, cool, dry area away from combustible materials and direct sunlight. Generated ozone must be used immediately in the application process. All ozone handling equipment must be constructed of ozone-resistant materials (e.g., stainless steel 316L, PTFE).
