Description

Iron Aluminide is an advanced intermetallic compound known for its excellent high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and corrosion stability. This material is critical for applications requiring structural integrity in extreme environments where conventional alloys fail. It is primarily utilized by the aerospace, power generation, and advanced materials research sectors for components such as heating elements, protective coatings, and structural parts.

Application

  • High-Temperature Structural Components in gas turbines and aerospace engines.
  • Protective Coatings for metals to enhance oxidation and sulfidation resistance.
  • Heating Elements and furnace fixtures operating in corrosive atmospheres.
  • Reinforcement Phase in metal matrix composites (MMCs) for improved mechanical properties.
  • Intermetallic Powder for additive manufacturing (3D printing) of complex, high-performance parts.
  • Research & Development of novel alloys and advanced material systems.

Quality Control

Our Iron Aluminide is produced under stringent process controls to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and high performance. Quality is verified through advanced analytical techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD) for phase purity, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) for composition and morphology, and particle size analysis. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing lot-specific results is provided with each shipment.

Storage

Preserve in a tightly closed container, protected from light. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area at room temperature (15-25°C). The material is stable under normal conditions but should be kept away from strong acids and strong oxidizing agents. For long-term storage of fine powders, consider an inert atmosphere to minimize surface oxidation.
