Description

Aluminium-Nickel is an intermetallic alloy powder, primarily composed of aluminium and nickel, known for its catalytic and hydrogen storage properties. This material is crucial for industrial processes requiring a highly active and selective catalyst, particularly in hydrogenation and dehydrogenation reactions. It is essential for manufacturers and R&D facilities in the chemical synthesis, petrochemical, and energy storage sectors seeking reliable catalytic performance.

Application

  • Catalyst in Organic Synthesis: Widely used as a hydrogenation catalyst for converting unsaturated hydrocarbons, aldehydes, and nitriles.
  • Petrochemical Refining: Employed in processes such as desulfurization and the reforming of hydrocarbons.
  • Hydrogen Storage Material: Investigated and utilized in metal hydride systems for solid-state hydrogen storage applications.
  • Fuel Cell Technology: Serves as a component in catalysts for fuel cell electrodes and hydrogen generation.
  • Chemical Manufacturing: Acts as a catalyst in the production of fine chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates.
  • Gettering Agent: Used to purify inert gases by scavenging oxygen and other impurities.
  • Alloy Precursor: Serves as a starting material for producing specialized nickel-aluminium alloys via powder metallurgy.
  • Research & Development: A key material for academic and industrial research in catalysis and materials science.

Quality Control

Our Aluminium-Nickel alloy is manufactured under controlled conditions to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and high catalytic activity. Quality is verified through a series of analytical tests including particle size distribution (PSD), X-ray diffraction (XRD) for phase identification, and elemental analysis (ICP-OES/AAS). A Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing purity, composition, and physical parameters is provided with each shipment to guarantee compliance with your technical requirements.

Storage

Preserve in a tightly closed container, protected from light. Due to its pyrophoric nature and tendency to be easily oxidized, this material must be stored under an inert atmosphere (argon or nitrogen) in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and incompatible materials such as strong acids and oxidizing agents. The container must be clearly labeled and handled with appropriate precautions to prevent moisture ingress and accidental ignition.
