Description

Poly[oxy(methyl-1,2-ethanediyl)], α-hydro-ω-hydroxy-, ether with -D-fructofuranosyl α-D-glucopyranoside, polymer with 1,3-diisocyanatomethylbenzene and α,α',α''- 1,2,3-propanetriyltris[ω-hydroxypoly[oxy(methyl -1,2-ethanediyl)]] is a specialized polyurethane prepolymer derived from a sucrose-based polyether polyol and isocyanate components. This unique chemistry provides a versatile building block for formulating high-performance, rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams with excellent thermal and dimensional stability. It is particularly valuable for industrial applications requiring materials with specific reactivity profiles, structural integrity, and low thermal conductivity. Key industries that utilize this advanced polymer include construction, appliance manufacturing, and industrial insulation.

Application

  • Rigid Polyurethane Foam (PUR) Insulation: Primary component for producing insulating foams used in construction panels, roofing systems, and wall cavities.
  • Polyisocyanurate Foam (PIR) Boards: Key raw material for manufacturing high-fire-performance PIR insulation boards with superior thermal resistance.
  • Appliance Insulation: Used in the formulation of rigid foams for insulating refrigerators, freezers, and water heaters.
  • Industrial Pipe and Tank Insulation: Serves as a base for spray foam and pour-in-place systems for insulating industrial piping and storage vessels.
  • Composite Sandwich Panels: Acts as the core material in metal-faced or glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) sandwich panels for architectural and transportation uses.
  • Specialty Adhesives and Sealants: Modified formulations can be used in high-strength, rigid adhesive systems for construction and manufacturing.

Quality Control

Our production of this polyurethane prepolymer adheres to strict quality management systems to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and performance reliability. Key parameters such as hydroxyl value (OH#), viscosity, isocyanate (NCO) content, and water content are rigorously monitored. Certificates of Analysis (COA) detailing these specifications are provided with every shipment. While produced under conditions suitable for industrial applications, specific compliance with standards like ISO or ASTM can be confirmed upon request for tailored grades.

Storage

Preserve in a tightly closed container, protected from light. Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area at a recommended temperature of 15-25°C (59-77°F). This product is hygroscopic (moisture-sensitive) and must be protected from atmospheric moisture to prevent premature reaction and viscosity increase. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and strong oxidizing agents. Drums should be kept sealed when not in use.
