Description

Rubber Latex is a stable aqueous dispersion of natural rubber particles, a critical raw material valued for its unique combination of elasticity, film-forming ability, and adhesive properties. This versatile colloidal system is essential for manufacturing a wide range of products where flexibility, strength, and water-based processing are required. It serves as a foundational material for industries including medical devices, adhesives, textiles, and dipped goods manufacturing.

Application

  • Dipped Goods Manufacturing: Primary material for producing examination and surgical gloves, balloons, catheters, and other elastic film products.
  • Adhesive Formulations: Used as a key component in pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs), carpet backing, and construction mastics due to its excellent tack and bond strength.
  • Textile & Non-Woven Processing: Employed as a binder and coating agent for fabric backing, foam rubber, and to impart elasticity and waterproofing to textiles.
  • Foam Rubber Production: Serves as the base for creating latex foam used in mattresses, pillows, and cushioning materials via the Dunlop or Talalay processes.
  • Medical & Healthcare Products: Found in the production of elastic bandages, wound dressings, and other disposable medical items.
  • Paper & Packaging Coatings: Applied to improve the strength, flexibility, and barrier properties of paper and cardboard.
  • Carpet Underlay & Backing: Provides dimensional stability, resilience, and sound insulation in carpet manufacturing.
  • Industrial Molded Goods: Used in casting and molding applications for seals, gaskets, and other custom rubber components.

Quality Control

Our Rubber Latex is produced and handled under strict quality management protocols to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and performance. Key parameters such as total solids content, dry rubber content (DRC), mechanical stability time (MST), and viscosity are rigorously monitored. We provide comprehensive Certificates of Analysis (COA) with each shipment, detailing specifications for pH, alkalinity, and coagulum content. Our quality systems are designed to meet the demands of GMP and ISO-oriented manufacturing environments.

Storage

Preserve in a tightly closed container, protected from light. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C (59°F - 77°F). Do not freeze. The product is susceptible to bacterial spoilage and coagulation; avoid contamination and prolonged storage. Keep away from strong oxidizing agents, acids, and excessive heat. Containers should be gently agitated periodically to maintain homogeneity.
