Description

Fuller's Earth is a naturally occurring, highly adsorptive clay mineral primarily composed of hydrous aluminum silicates. This versatile material is valued across multiple industries for its exceptional ability to decolorize, purify, and clarify various substances by adsorbing impurities, oils, and pigments. Key sectors that rely on its performance include edible oil refining, petrochemical processing, cosmetics manufacturing, and environmental remediation.

Application

  • Edible Oil & Fat Processing: As a bleaching earth for the decolorization and purification of vegetable oils, animal fats, and waxes.
  • Petroleum Refining: Used in the treatment of lubricating oils, paraffin waxes, and other petroleum fractions to remove color bodies and impurities.
  • Cosmetics & Personal Care: Incorporated into facial masks, cleansers, and clarifying products for its oil-absorbing and skin-purifying properties.
  • Environmental Remediation: Employed as an absorbent for oil and chemical spills on land and water.
  • Industrial Catalyst Carrier: Serves as a support or base for various catalysts in chemical synthesis.
  • Foundry & Metalcasting: Used as a bonding agent in molding sands.
  • Pharmaceuticals: Acts as a filtering and clarifying agent in the production of certain medicinal compounds.
  • Animal Feed & Agriculture: Utilized as an anti-caking agent and mycotoxin binder in feed, and as a soil conditioner.

Quality Control

Our Fuller's Earth is sourced and processed to meet stringent quality parameters for its target applications. Production is controlled through rigorous in-process checks and final product testing, which may include analysis of adsorption capacity, particle size distribution, moisture content, pH, and free moisture. We ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, including food-grade specifications where applicable. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is available for every batch upon request.

Storage

Preserve in a tightly closed container, protected from light. Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area at room temperature (15-25°C). Due to its hygroscopic (moisture-sensitive) nature, the container must be kept sealed when not in use to prevent caking and loss of activity. Keep away from incompatible materials.
